I got into AVF167, which means I'm probably going to graduate this semester. Let me tell you about AVF167. AVF167 is Advanced Film Production. We use the Arriflex SR 16mm camera, which looks something like this:

The ones we use may not have as many features, like that telescoping light on the lens. Our movies are going to be sync-sound, which means the motor in the Arri has a crystal that locks in at 24fps, unlike the Bolex, whose speed changes sporadically. So our scripts are going to need dialogue. The class is going to be split up into two teams of ten, each producing a movie. In about 5 weeks, whoever wants to write a script can submit one, and two of those are selected. Usually whoever's script gets selected gets to be director. The other positions are Assistant Director, Director of Photography, two Assistant Camerapersons, Gaffer, Sound, and a Post-Production team. I really don't want to do anything besides direct. I'd settle for Art Director or post production, but directing's my bag because it's pretty much the easiest job on the set. I wouldn't even have to tell people what to do; that's the Asst. Director's job. I'd just sit in the director's chair with one of those old-timey megaphone, wearing a scarf and beret.

What's kind of cool about that class is that there are more females in it than any other film class I've had at Hofstra. AVF47 had only one broad, and she had two first names. I want to bone at least two of the girls in 167. The rest I kind of just want to destroy because they're either retarded or think they're not retarded or think that they're, in fact, smarter than everyone else, in this one bitch's case. This girl has been in two others of my classes and she doesn't like to not talk. In other words, she hates not talking, especially about subjects like how much work she has to do and how much Hofstra sucks and how she's a fucking double major and how she applied to grad school in London. She sticks to topics that make me want throw a glass bottle at her neck. Plus she thinks she's so great. The other girls talk too much. But Amanda and Shannon, I want them on Team Shenoy and my penis.

Katzman said he liked my 47 film. I was hoping he'd say he really liked it, but he's kind of a laid back guy. And what else was he going to say? I really like my 47 film, though. And I have the final cut. I'll have to see about getting it on the World Wide Internet.

So I'm happy, I'm really happy that I got into 167. All I need now is fucking ideas for a screenplay. It's got to be 6-10 minutes long, which mean 6-10 pages of screenplay. I think maybe I'd like to write a romantic action comedy mystery thriller. I might be able to get Susan Lucci.

I wrote an article called Do Robots Exist? for the next issue of Nonsense. It might be funny. Plus I got that Continental Airlines Zippo today.
