So today is beautiful. A big, beautiful slap in the face. See because yesterday was the last day Bill was able to shoot, being that he's on his was to Las Vegas as we speak. Because we're speaking right now, you and I. Yesterday was also a rainy motherfucker. Aside from the rain being a bitch to shoot in, it doesn't do much in the way of continuity for my film. Most of the shots were done in broad and brilliant daylight. So there will be shots that are literally cut back to back, alternating from bright to dreary, dry to rainy. And it won't make any sense.
I wish things had been more conducive to shooting what would have been the best short film ever made by anyone on the planet. But it makes not too much difference, because it's still going to be great (I hope). And people generally aren't able to differentiate mistakes from intent, so I should be straight. It's an overall good thing that I've completed shooting, because most of the students have already finished editing their rough cuts, whereas I haven't even gotten the film developed. And I can't say that I'm not jizzing myself now that I'm finally making movies. It's a really good feeling. Like when we used to climb the ropes in gym class.
I wonder if you all will enjoy listening to Aphex Twin's "Nannou" and scratching your head to the beat as much as I do. Richard D. James is from another planet.
